We hope an agreement can be reached to reduce plastic production by the UN!

Most countries want this, but there is strong opposition from oil-producing nations including Russia and Saudi Arabia, who need plastic production for the oil industry as we move to greener technologies.
The outcome might be out of our control, but we can send the opposing nations a strong message by having another go at cutting down our own use of single use plastic.
Here are 6 simple ways we can all make a difference this week and into the future...
1. Buy loose fruit and veg
2. Switch to a reusable coffee cup (Stanley cups have a lifetime guarantee)
3. Keep a reusable shopping bag,  like these from Eco Chic, in your car
4. If 25% of all microplastics in the environment come from car tyres we can reduce this by walking, cycling and using public transport.
5. Avoid plastics that break down into microplastics more easily like chewing gum and glitter.
6. Switch from liquid soap to bar soap from Hendy & Fern
